UNC Charlotte Health and Wellbeing Unit celebrated NHSDA Love Your Body Week February 19 to 23, 2024. Throughout the week the Center for Wellness Promotion with University Recreation hosted multiple events.

This campaign utilized both physical and digital assets to promote the week introducing more complexity in constraints like color and budget.

Direction

Building on the playful, childlike energy of Healthy Campus Week, this campaign shifts toward geometry, structured forms, and a prominent sense of light. The focus moves from iconography to imagery, highlighting the people of campus. The visual language conveys lightness, smoothness, and modernity, with sleek lines juxtaposed against human figures. A soft gradient background accentuates white text, while simple shapes direct attention exclusively to the models.

Process

Although initial concepts explored iconography, the campaign transitioned to emphasizing the human body. Greater attention was devoted to layout design, surpassing the priorities of Healthy Campus Week. This initiative required both digital and print materials, presenting the challenge of maintaining cohesion and consistency across varied scales and formats. The use of reusable assets ensured visual unity throughout all deliverables.

Deliverables

Final deliverables included an 8.5 by 11 inch flyer, 11 by 17 inch poster, 24 by 36 inch A-frame, four Instagram posts, five Instagram stories, website banner, digital signage, five small website images, handout, and eight additional digital advertising panels for various websites.
